Perhaps a new life goal is starting to come online for me: to care a little less about my life goals, to just enjoy being here, to revel in those little flickers of joy, beauty, and wonder wherever I can find them.

What we consider our gifts are not really meant for us. We are just the middle man, the delivery mechanism. They are not just gifts to us. They are ultimately meant as gifts from us.

The only thing that has ever really worked is simply being with the unpleasant emotion, to allow it, to console it, to not try to fix it at all.

What “guilty” pleasure might you more fully allow yourself to just have fun with?

We face many urgent problems that deserve our urgent attention. Of course. But a lack of beauty is not one of them.

What can you take a holiday from this August?

There seem to always be deeper, more expansive aspects of ourselves to uncover and operate from. There is always another horizon to explore.

We do not choose what we dream. At best, we can choose which of our many dreams we pursue.

At its core, leadership is really about leading yourself to the fullest expression of your unique gifts and perspectives, regardless of your title and authority.

Leadership is not necessarily about setting a vision or making decision for others. Perhaps the highest form of leadership is simply about creating a vision for yourself and boldly sharing it with the world.
